Born in 1989, he studied double bass with Daniele Roccato and Stefano Scodanibbio. In 2011 he graduated with honours and a special mention from the “F. Morlacchi” conservatory in Perugia and in the same year also graduated in electronic engineering with full marks and honours. He played with the EUYO (European Youth Orchestra) during the 2013/2014 season. In June 2013 he won third prize in the Solo Competition organised by the International Society for the Double Bass (ISB) in Rochester, USA. He won first prize in the Valentino Bucchi international competition in 2011 and third prize in the Youth category of the BASS 2010 international competition in Berlin in 2011. Since 2014 he has been a member of the RAI national symphony orchestra of Turin in which he plays first double bass. He has played with the Ensemble Musikfabrik (Cologne) and has also been invited to play with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Teatro alla Scala orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Swiss Italian orchestra and he is also a member of the Ludus Gravis double bass ensemble dedicated to repertoires of contemporary music. He has also played for Rai RadioTre, BBC Radio 3, Radio CEMAT, RTV Slovenia and made recordings for the ECM, WERGO and Sony labels.
