Eugenio Abbiatici graduated in 1985 with top marks and honours from the “Luca Marenzio” conservatory in Brescia under the guidance of maestro Guido Delmonte. Following his success in many auditions he began playing in important orchestras such as the Teatro alla Scala orchestra and the Teatro alla Scala philharmonic in Milan, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra in Florence, the Teatro la Fenice orchestra in Venice, the RAI orchestra in Naples and the Arturo Toscanini philharmonic orchestra in Parma, collaborating with important conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Georges Prêtre, Yuri Temirkanov and Zubin Metha. For about 30 years he has also played in prestigious chamber orchestras such as the Mantua chamber orchestra and I Solisti Veneti orchestra. He teaches a number of master classes, particularly in Hong Kong where he travels to regularly to train the brass section of the Asian Youth Orchestra. He holds the chair for trombone at the G. Verdi conservatory in Milan.
