Biography
Born in Madrid she began studying music aged 8. She graduated with full marks under the guidance of maestro J.M. Román at the Conservatorio Superior de Aragón. She then moved to Italy to attend a specialised viola course under maestro A. Farulli at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and then went to Switzerland where she took a “Masters in Music Performance” under maestro Danilo Rossi. Since 2013 she has been playing in “I Solisti di Pavia” orchestra, conducted by E. Dindo in which she has also played first viola. She plays with the Scala Philharmonic in Milan, the Swiss Italian Radio orchestra, the Orquesta del Teatro Real de Madrid, the Teatro Regio orchestra in Turin, the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and others. She has played in the Luigi Cherubini orchestra conducted by Riccardo Muti both as concertmaster and first viola. She has played for some of the greatest conductors in Europe, South America, Saudi Arabia and Africa. She has studied under maestro viola players such as Jurgen Kussmaul, Danusha Waskiewitz, Hartmud Rohde and Thomas Riebl. In 2008 she won first prize in her category in the “Nuovi Orizzonti” national competition in Arezzo (Italy) and in 2007 the “Becas Ibercaja” competition in Saragossa (Spain). She has made recordings for DECCA, Sony Classical and Fonè.
