Alberto Negroni was born in Bologna and graduated from the conservatory in his home town with full marks and honours. As a very young man he won the competition for first oboe at the “Teatro alla Scala”, a position he held for thirteen years. In 1997 he won the competition for first oboe for the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra, a position he still retains today. He has played under the most renowned conductors of our day, invariably receiving praise and admiration. He plays regularly for the principal orchestras of Italy.
